Emmanuelle Vaugier plays sexy DJ and keyboardist
Sarah Nelson in the new television comedy, A Young Person's Guide to Becoming
a Rock Star (WB). The Vancouver-born actor stars alongside Oliver Hudson
(Goldie's son; Kate's brother) and shuttles between Los Angeles and Vancouver
for acting gigs. Vaugier also recently appeared in the feature film Forty
Days and Forty Nights as Josh Hartnett's lust interest or, in her words,
"the date from hell." We asked her about.... Working with Josh?
I tend not to get star-struck by anyone. You have to realize that it's
the media that blows these people up into superstars. When you meet them,
they're regular people. Playing a rock star? Sarah is fun to play. It's
nice to be in comedy series for a change because many of the characters
I play are victims with a lot of heavy emotional stuff involved. It's
draining. So this the real treat in comparison. Dating Oliver Hudson's
character, Jace? We don't ever quite get together in the show. We're always
put in these compromising positions. But it would ruin the tensions and
fun of the show if the characters got together at the end of the first
13 episodes. Dating Oliver Hudson? I don't think my boyfriend or his girlfriend
would appreciate that!
