The Joy of Jewels
Hollywood Life, September 2003

Emmanuelle Vaugier, who has appeared on the WB’s “Smallville” and plays a princess in this month’s Secondhand Lions with Michael Caine, here enjoys one fancy facet of Hollywood style: jewelry. And in Hollywood excess is excellence. She dons a series of gold necklaces from Saks Fifth Avenue’s jewelry salon, their color sparkling against her olive skin – delicate chains by Roberto Coin, a Figaro Orb necklace with blue topaz and diamond pendant by David Yurman, and oversized loops with a kidney-shape diamond pendant by Pomellato. Vaugier tries little button earrings but then grabs something bigger: dangling hearts from Coin’s Chic & Shine line. She dons just one bracelet, crafted by SeidenGang with dozens of diamond-studded beads. Then it’s time to rock with rings that edge into the double-digits of carats with SeidenGang’s blue topaz, citrine and garnet. “OK…that little one,” Vaugier says, pointing to a sweet baby lemon quartz by Pomellato. “That one I might wear in real life.” Which, thank goodness, is not where she is.
