Do you think it is a good career move to be a cover girl for a canine publication?

Vancouver's Emmanuelle Vaugier (40 Days and 40 Nights) thinks so.

The stunning actress is featured both on the cover and inside the Summer 2003 issue of the local magazine Modern Dog, with her beloved poodles, Isabella and Lily.

Best known for her role as Dr. Helen Bryce, Lex Luthor's girlfriend on the Warner Brothers hit drama series Smallville, Vaugier was recently voted number 88 in Maxim's top-100-hottest list.

And, as we speak, she's being photographed for three US magazines, including Self.

You'll see her next as Princess Jasmine, starring Michael Caine and Robert Duvall in the upcoming comedy Secondhand Lions, which goes into limited release on September 26.
