Rising star Emmanuelle Vaugier, best known for her role as Dr. Helen Bryce, Lex Luthor's girlfriend, in the Warner Brothers hit drama Smallville, recently took time out of her busy schedule to shoot our Modern Dog cover.

Emmanuelle poses with her two privileged Miniature Poodles, 3-year-old Isabelle and 7-year-old Lily, whom she flies between sets and residences in Vancouver and Los Angeles.

On the big screen, Emmanuelle most recently starred in My Guide to Becoming a Rock Star, and 40 Days and 40 Nights, opposite Josh Hartnett. This fall, you can catch her as Princess Jasmine in New Line Cinema's Secondhand Lions opposite Michael Caine, Robert Duvall and Haley Joel Osment, in theatres September 26.
